We changed our direct bank transfer system from Standard Bank's CATS to PayAccSys during September 2004, mainly because of the almost 50% cost savings per transfer. Because the system uses the current bank details in the payroll direct, it is not necessary to keep a separate bank transfer detail data-base up to date as is the case with CATS. It has a very usefull facility whereby a dummy batch can be loaded to test the correctness of the bank details (bank account - branch code match). Changes can then be updated directly in the payroll before the final batch is loaded, which saves time. Email confirmation of receipt of transfer batch and of funds, reaches us within minutes. They have always been able to accommodate late transfers and are most helpful in resolving queries, e.g. to provide information on refunds where bank accounts have been closed.
